Think joining your local Chamber of Commerce is a waste of time? Think again. Your offline activities have a direct impact on your local SEO rankings. Google sees everything.
When you join the Chamber, you get a backlink from a high-authority local website. That’s SEO gold. When you sponsor a local little league team, you get your name on their website and in their newsletter. More local signals. When you host a local event or workshop, you get mentioned in local online calendars and news outlets. It all adds up.
Google’s algorithm for local search is built around trust, authority, and relevance. Every time a local organization mentions your business online, it’s a vote of confidence in the eyes of Google. These signals tell Google: “This is a real, active, trusted business in this community.”
